Hari Ahad, 1 Ogos 2010 - Tutong - Keriam Malay Association (PEAAKA) recently held its 33rd annual general meeting at their building visionary hall.
The chief guest who officiated the AGM was the Advisor of Mukim Keriam Consultative Council, Dato Paduka Awg Hj Zakaria bin Hj Jeneh.
The event started with a recitation of the surah al-fatihah followed by welcoming remarks by the President of PEAAKA, Awg Ahanapi bin Hj Mahadi and the chief guest.
Awg Ahanapi talked about the development and progress of PESAKA and its ability to become sustainable and being conferred with several awards both locally and abroad.
He also urged association leaders of 2010-2011 sessions to be more proactive in generating the economy to gain more financial resources. He also called on youths to be forward looking.
The 2009-2010 administrative committee members were dissolved and 16 new executive committee were appointed for the 2010-2011 session by the ad-hoc chairperson appointed by Awg Hj Othman bin Hj Pisi. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
